TrueNAS Pulse respects your privacy.

This application is designed to operate directly between your iOS device and your self-hosted TrueNAS system. The app does not collect, store, sell, or share personal data.

Data Collection

TrueNAS Pulse does not collect personal data.

The app does not:

Track usage behavior
Collect analytics
Use advertising SDKs
Share information with third parties
Store user data on external servers

Local Data Storage

The app may store limited configuration data locally on your device, such as:

Saved server connections
Interface preferences
Operational settings (e.g., guarded mode)
API tokens, stored exclusively in the iOS Keychain

This information remains on your device and is not transmitted to the developer.

Local Notifications

If you enable alert notifications, the app may deliver local notifications to your device when new alerts are detected on your TrueNAS server. These notifications are generated entirely on-device from data fetched directly from your server. No notification content is routed through Apple Push Notification service (APNs) or any external server. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

Network Communication

TrueNAS Pulse communicates directly with your configured TrueNAS server using the credentials you provide.

All communication occurs between:

Your iOS device
Your TrueNAS system

The developer has no access to this communication.

Third-Party Services

TrueNAS Pulse does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising networks, or data brokers.

If future versions introduce optional services, this policy will be updated accordingly.

Data Security

Security depends primarily on:

The configuration of your TrueNAS system
Your network environment
Your device security practices

Users are responsible for securing their TrueNAS servers and API credentials.

Children’s Privacy

TrueNAS Pulse is intended for system administrators and technical users.
It is not designed for children under 13.
